As a horse owner, what are the precautions you take to provide good care for your horse during the winter? Even though the horse adapts itself to with stand the winter challenges, you must provide them with some extra care that they need during the winter colds. Below are some of the tips to protect your horse during the winter.
I have a four year old quarter horse. She has a lot of fur during the winter. She stays out in a pasture with no shelter, and I don’t know whether to get a medium-weight, heavy-weight, or some other kind. I just want one to keep my horse warm and dry.
I can’t add a shelter because I keep her at a boarding stable.
It usually doesn’t get below 30 degrees except maybe at night.
Also, do you know of any good brands that aren’t too expensive? Or websites that sell blankets?
