For my horse, I was thinking of getting a RAMBO blanket. This is a picture/link of a Breyer blanket, which looks like the one I would get.

It looks like a nice, sturdy blanket for your horse, I’d say get one like it…. It’s hard to compare BREYER blanket to REAL blankets but…. i’d say go for it ! If you live in a place where it snows heavily, get your horse a thick blanket like that one… but where i live in Georgia, it doesn’t snow at ALL, so…. we don’t usually blanket our horses unless they have a show the next day or something….. just think about your climate and things…..The color is nice on the breyer blanket though
Good Luck !
I think it is a very nice blanket it will defiantly keep him warm.
I’ve found that all horses need shoulder darts in their blankets, and the best darts are froward facing. I buy weather beater freestyle rugs they are expensive but they don’t move and allow freedom of movement. also check the fill of the rug and match it to the weather conditions
Actually, Rambo blankets are MUCH nicer then weatherbeeta. I have a gelding that is tough on my blankets, and he has shredded all weatherbeeta blankets, but his Rambo blankets have held up for the past year!!! Rambo blankets are great, very warm, and they do have shoulder darts on the real blankets. If you’re somewhere where it snows alot, I would splurge and go for the Rambo WUG, because they have a really great neck, and great closures!
Well I wouldn’t by him that Breyer blanket…but my horses wear RAMBO®, and I say go for it, it’s a pretty good brand.
i like it for the bryer horse, im not sure weather you mean real or fake horse!
Well since its a Breyer blanket it probably doesn’t do the real one justice but I think if it has good insulation then it should do.
It’s great. don’t worry about how it looks though. It truly matters about how it will be for your horse. make sure you get it lined, and if it is snowy where you are, maybe you can get removable winter lining! (If they have that avail.) remember that you only should blanket your horse if it has sweated excessively or if it has been clipped, or if it is sick with a cold or something else. some horses need blankets in the winter all the time. but if yours doesn’t, either dont get one, or get a summer/spring one for shows or when it is clipped.
Rambo blanets are pricey but worth it! I have a Rambo rain sheet for my horse and she has yet to rip it after several years of wear. I also had a Rambo blanket for her that somebody at my barn stole =( Can’t afford to replace it..but they are really great blankets if you can afford them.
